About the Meeting
This year’s Broadband Commission Annual Spring Meeting 2022 is entitled, “Driving Inclusive Digital Transformation.” With 2.9 billion unconnected people worldwide and billions struggling with the connectivity they do have, high-capacity networks based on reliable broadband is a social and economic imperative, a must. The pandemic has amplified the importance of cooperation and partnerships to address the many divides and drive an inclusive whole of society approach to digital transformation.
Held alongside the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC), the Annual Spring Meeting brought together Broadband Commission Chairs, Commissioners and Special Guests to discuss the most pertinent issues affecting broadband connectivity today.
The Generation Connect Global Youth Summit will be held in a hybrid format on 2 – 4 June 2022, at the Intare Conference Arena, in Kigali, Rwanda. Bringing together young leaders, entrepreneurs, social change-makers, engineers, policy specialists, students, and others, the Summit will address the digital divide and related topics, including digital skills, gender, climate change, online safety, the future of work, entrepreneurship, digital dependencies, and more.
