At its second meeting in New York in September 2010, the Commission established a number of Working Groups to focus on a range of vital issues relating to specific areas of importance.
The first report was presented to the UN Secretary-General during a side-event held in conjunction with the UN MDG Summit at UN headquarters. Receiving the report, Mr Ban noted the power of technology to inject new impetus into the development paradigm. Commission agrees to launch working groups on specific thematic issues:

- Health
- Environmental
- Sustainability
- Public Private Partnerships
- Education
- Multi-lingualism
- Science
