The third Special Session of the Broadband Commission at the World Economic Forum was co-organized with partners from the World Economic Forum, and sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and IT of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Special Session brought together a wide range of organizations and entities dedicated to connecting the unconnected, to discuss how to bring all the world’s people online, innovative investment models, and in particular to align and reinforce our efforts to connect the next 1.5  billion people by 2020 (a target from the Connect 2020 Agenda, which was adopted unanimously by 193 Member States at ITU’s main international conference in 2014).
