Broadband Commissioners at the GSMA 2023 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona is an annual gathering organized by GSMA, dedicated to connectivity and mobile ICTs, and is considered the “largest and most influential event for the connectivity ecosystem.” 

This year’s themes cover topics from 5G Acceleration, Reality+ and OpenNet to FinTech and Digital Everything.  

Broadband Commissioners along with industry leaders, influencers and innovators will gather to discuss the future of the connectivity industry, covering topics like the digital policy frameworks, digital inclusion, artificial intelligence and much more.

Broadband Commissioners Sign MoU to Improve Connectivity for MSMEs

In an effort to address the digital divide faced by MSMEs in developing countries, the Co-Chairs of the Working Group on Connectivity for MSMEs—Pamela Coke-Hamilton, Executive Director of the ITC and Mats Granryd, Director General of the GSMA—have recently signed an MoU. This new partnership aims to turn the key recommendations from the Commission Working Group’s outcome report, “Making Connectivity Work for MSMEs,” into actionable initiatives.
