Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination (International Affairs) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan
H.E. Mr. Masahiko TOMINAGA has been the Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination (International Affairs) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) of Japan since July 2017.
Up until now, he took initiative in radio administrations, frequency assignment, improving the safety and reliability of telecommunication networks etc. In addition, he has extensive experience participating in international conferences including ITU-related conferences.
Having graduated from the graduate school of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, he entered the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MIC at the present) in 1982. He has occupied important positions related to ICT policy as follows:
He held the post of Director of the International Frequency Policy Office, Director of the Land Mobile Communications Division, Director of the Electromagnetic Environment Division, Director of the Radio Policy Division, Vice-President of National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Director-General of the Radio Department, Director-General for International and Technology Policy Coordination, Director-General of the Telecommunications Bureau.
