Ambassador Walter Fust led the Global Humanitarian Forum Geneva from May 2008 until March 31, 2010 following 15 years as the Director General of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC). In that capacity he was member of the UN-ICT Task force and the steering committee of UN-GAIN. He served as chairman of the board of the GlobalKnowledge Partnership (GKP), a network to enhance IT's for development and chaired UNESCO's Intergovernmental council for the Development of communication (IPDC) from 2008-2010.
Walter Fust is President of globethics.net, Geneva. He serves as a board member of the International Forum of Federations (Ottawa) and as member of the board of Trustees of the Biblioteca Alexandrina, Egyypt. He is a board member of the Coalition fo Dialog on Africa (CoDA) and is a member of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA).
Mr. Fust, born in 1945, graduated from the University of St. Gallen and worked in the private sector (Banking, investment, trade promotion) as well as in different functions in the Swiss Confederation's Public Service.
